Lazzriel has been working with BackBeat Candy since 2006 when he bumped into Greg Felton in the street. Yes, that's right.
 
They had met previously through a mutual friend and Lazzriel had heard one of Greg's beats. Sharing the same passion for music and work ethic, keen to collaborate, the two exchanged numbers and have been working together ever since on Candy albums and various Lazzriel mixtapes, with Greg producing instrumentals, providing a vocal feature or acting as sound engineer.
 
Lazzriel has always been hip hop focused and a lyricist but it wasn't until 2009 after gathering various production experience that he was able to start producing his own instrumentals. This culminated in the release of his beat tape "CUBAN TOMS" in early 2010, which was a chance to exhibit his production ability as well as spit a few rhymes. 
 
The latest work from Lazzriel is TRON, a mixtape with every track sampling an instrumental from the Daft Punk soundtrack TRON: Legacy. Most of the tracks are produced by Lazzriel and display his signature old school hip hop sound. However, Greg features heavily throughout the mixtape via guest production as well as vocal features.
